Tour lasted about 20-25 min. It was difficult to follow what was being pointed out on ceiling paintings. Looking up for an extended time with my head back was uncomfortable. I was glad to see it but wished I had gone on my own so that I could take longer and could have approached the alter for a better view. Do not feel that it was worth it.
Our guide didn’t show for our tour
Reiseleiter spricht schlecht Englisch.
The guide itself was good, with quality info. But the experience around it was terrible. First, we were told at the meeting point that our tour was delayed 30 minutes, and we weren’t given an explanation why. Then, when we were about to start the tour, we were told that two of the party members couldn’t get in because they didn’t have the earpieces (they didn’t speak English, so they didn’t get one). I had to run across Piazza San Marco to get earpieces, but didn’t find the person to hand them to me. After some struggle I got them and had to run back to the church and get it, just to hand the earpieces back to the tour guide. In short, the experience would’ve been great if it was better organized. But the mess around it spoiled the experience.
